Comments (-1) more Subscribe to RSS Feed - Plano ISD Headlines District Announcements School Closure Extended through the End of the School Year In response to Governor Abbott’s April 17 executive order announced this afternoon, Plano ISD schools will remain closed and will continue with remote learning through May 22, the last day of the school year, as we support the community, region and nation’s need to slow the spread of COVID-19. We wish to express gratitude to our entire community of families, staff, volunteers and community partners for your patience and support during these uncertain times as we’ve all begun adapting to this new way of delivering and receiving instruction. Comments (-1) 2020-2021 Elementary Transfer Requests, April 27-29 Elementary transfer requests (for new transfer requests only, approved transfers remain in effect through 5th grade) open April 27, 8 a.m. and close April 29, 5 p.m. Visit the transfer website to receive an online tracking number. Comments (-1) New Requirements for Free Grab-and-Go Meals As of Monday, April 6, new rules from the Texas Department of Agriculture require that parents picking up free meals from the district must bring documentation for children who are not in the vehicle. Please note that verification is not required when children are present with a parent during meal pickup . When present, any child 18 years of age or under can receive a grab-and-go meal. Read More . Minnie’s Food Pantry Distribution, April 23 Minnie’s Food Pantry will be distributing family meal boxes to any family in need of food this Thursday, April 23, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM , while supplies last, at Bowman Middle School, 2501 Jupiter Road, Plano 75074.
